Activities for the Robotics community

2025: Direction and participation in the writing of the chapter “Medical Robotics” for the upcoming white paper titled “Automation in Service of Health,” currently being edited by the leaders of the initiative “Automation in Service of Health: From Modeling to Closed-Loop Therapies” of the GDR Macs. The team recruited to write this chapter consists of Hassan Omran (ICube), Nabil Zemiti (LIRMM). 2024: Participation in the project to renew the “GDR Robotique” for the improvement of education and the attractiveness of robotics. Since then, co-animation of a 4-people team on this topic (AP3).

Edition

Guest Associate Editor (since 2019), in collaboration with :

In 2025, direction of the writing of a chapter in a book published by Elsevier: Robot Design, edited by Med Amine Laribi (P’Prime Institute) and Carl Nelson (University of Nebraska–Lincoln). The chapter is titled “Haptic Training Simulators in Medical Education,” co-written with :

  • Florence Zara (LIRIS,
  • Lucile Vadcard (LaRAC),
  • Christine Barthod and Luc Marechal (SYMME),
  • Richard Moreau (Ampère), and
  • Rémi Chalard (IBISC). It aims to provide an overview of the methodological and technical challenges involved in designing a haptic simulator for learning.
